No School! MY-AT-SIB

Jennie Temple

12pm, Saturday 8 June 2019
Booking is essential; please book here via eventbrite.

Me, You, and the Stuff In-Between (MY-AT-SIB) revisits an impromptu learning activity developed by Jennie Temple as part of EMBASSY’s GRADJOB programme in December 2018.

MY-AT-SIB will consist of an informal walk, talk and discussion mapping the space between EMBASSY and Rhubaba and exploring the hidden and not-so hidden histories of the area. Beginning at EMBASSY, the walk will take approximately 60-90 minutes and will conclude at Rhubaba with refreshments and a group recording activity.

MY-AT-SIB is part of No School! and takes place during Annuale 2019, a festival of grassroots contemporary art co-ordinated by EMBASSY. Places are limited and booking is essential. MY-AT-SIB is open to everyone, although adult themes may be discussed and referred to.

No School! is a learning programme inspired by the value crisis of desperate measures, desiring the political agency of wrongness, badness, inefficiency, laziness and defeat, heartbreak and loneliness. No School! also wants for contradiction, publics, furniture, hooting joyous clapping shouts of laughter, good food shared and the logical contortions of revolutionary praxis.

Practically, No School! is a series of workshops and events, whose existence is in debt to histories of radical pedagogy and self-organised education.

Accessibility

This event is open to everyone, though adult themes may be discussed. The event includes a walk which will last up to 90 minutes.
