Dance like nobody’s watching or Dance like you’re not dancing brings together works that have a sensitivity to the movement of the human body. Variously manifesting as staged or choreographed dance movements, the exploration of objects in relation to the body and the occupation or invasion of personal space, all sharing a committed amateurism that celebrates movement – inviting the viewer to become participant, at least in their dancing from one work to another.

Sunday 20 April 2014, 10.30am—5pm
Closing event and performance, 6pm
In conjunction with the exhibition Dance like nobody’s watching or Dance like you’re not dancing, we are excited to host Tighter Than Tights, a workshop conceived and led by artist-sister-supergroup Ortonandon. Spend a day with the Orton sisters stretching the limits of legs and Lycra, using tights to unify the group. Together we will generate a repertoire of movements that will be choreographed into a performance. The day will be a physical and discursive investigation of dance and the parameters of performance, collaboration and tights.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
